David W. Krumsiek
Partner

David W. Krumsiek has practiced law in the Greater Boston area for over twenty years, after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School. A co-founder of Perry Krumsiek, LLP, he is admitted to the bars of Massachusetts, New York, the United States District Court for Massachusetts, the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

David’s law practice focuses on business transactions, real estate, land use and zoning, civil litigation (including business litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice and landlord-tenant matters), employment law (including wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, and whistleblower actions), and corporate law. He has considerable experience litigating cases in the Massachusetts Superior, District, Housing and Land Courts, the United States District Court, and administrative hearings such as those of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (formerly National Association of Securities Dealers). He has taken over seventy-five cases to verdict, including twenty jury trials, and briefed and argued dozens of appeals in the Federal and State Appellate Courts.

David also has a wide range of experience with commercial and residential real estate transactions, representing individual and corporate real estate investors, mortgage brokerage firms and lending institutions in the conveyance and financing of property throughout New England. Additionally, he has advanced and argued numerous petitions on behalf of large hotel, retail, and restaurant clients in connection with zoning, licensing and permitting matters, both at the state and municipal levels.

An advocate of alternative dispute resolution, David co-founded the Boston Mediation Group after receiving formal ADR training, a requirement for conducting mediations pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 233 Section 23C (the Mediation Confidentiality Statute).

David currently resides in Westwood, Massachusetts, with his wife Julie and four children. He is actively involved in that community, coaching various youth sports teams and serving as Chairman of the Westwood Zoning Board of Appeals, of which he has been a member since 1999. Professionally, David is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts, and the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association.

Mary Vallace Krumsiek
Partner

Mary Krumsiek practices in the area of real estate and real estate finance. Mary represents individuals and institutional clients in a wide array of residential and commercial real estate matters, including sales and acquisitions, financing, workouts and foreclosures. Mary also represents clients in connection with the sale and purchase of mortgage loan pools including performing due diligence and negotiating and closing loan pool purchases and sales.

Prior to returning to the practice of law, Mary was a founding member of Vallace Associates, Inc., a real estate and financial consulting company in the Boston area. As vice president and legal counsel of Vallace Associates, Mary represented both borrowers and lenders with respect to troubled real estate loans and debt restructurings, performed loan pool purchase and sale due diligence on behalf of lenders and Wall Street funds, and provided real estate and financial consulting services for numerous small and large institutional clients. Prior to her work at Vallace Associates, Inc., Mary was an associate with the law firm of Gilman, McLaughlin and Hanrahan in Boston where her practice focused primarily in the area of real estate, concentrating on real estate loan transactions, workouts and foreclosures.

Mary left Vallace Associates in 1998 to devote her time to raising her family. She and her husband, Jim, have five children and live in Sudbury, Massachusetts. While raising her children, Mary was and remains active in the Sudbury Public Schools and the Town of Sudbury, including participating in and co-chairing fund raising efforts, substitute teaching and organizing activities and parent involvement. Mary has also taught religious education at her family’s parish for over ten years.

Mary is a graduate of Boston College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. She received a Juris Doctor degree from University of Notre Dame Law School and was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1989.

Timothy J. Perry
Partner

Timothy J. Perry, a founding partner of Perry Krumsiek, LLP, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in 1990, where he also earned four varsity letters and quarterbacked the varsity football team. Tim was named a 1990 Harvard University Winthrop Scholar for academic and athletic excellence. Tim received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1995.

Tim has conducted many jury trials at all levels of the state and federal Court systems as well as arbitrations before the NASD, FINRA and the American Arbitration Association. He has represented clients in federal district courts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New York, Washington, D.C., California and North Carolina. Tim has successfully briefed and argued several cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Tim’s practice focuses on complex corporate and personal litigation, including contract and employment disputes, restrictive employment covenants, intellectual property rights, products and premises liability, and wrongful death. In resolving these complex matters, Tim utilizes his unique legal experiences, including having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in such matters.

In 2006, Tim received Martindale Hubbell’s prestigious AV peer review rating. Martindale Hubbell’s rating system reflects the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and Judiciary in order to evaluate a lawyer's legal ability and professional ethics. The AV rating is the highest rating an attorney can attain. Martindale describes the rating as follows: “An AV rating is a significant accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. A lawyer must be admitted to the bar for 10 years or more to receive an AV rating.”

Kerri E. Sheeran
Of Counsel

Kerri E. Sheeran is of counsel to the firm. Kerri received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Merrimack College in 1993 and a Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School in 1996. Prior to joining Perry Krumsiek, LLP, Kerri was Vice President and Legal Counsel to LandAmerica Title Insurance Company, one of the leading issuers of title insurance in the nation. In that capacity, Kerri oversaw the closing of hundreds of corporate transactions, including the purchase and sale of multiple Home Depot stores throughout the country. Kerri previously was an attorney at Goodwyn Procter LLP, an international law firm, and Murphy, MacKenzie, Micheals & Sullivan LLP. At each of these firms, Kerri’s practice focused on complex commercial real estate transactions.

Kerri is also a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts and is a principal in Sheeran Realty, a real estate sales and investment venture. Kerri’s experience in real estate law and business in Massachusetts makes her a unique asset to the firm’s real estate and corporate transaction practice.
